WORTHINGTON —
Gladys Ann Meyers Spence, 90, of Worthington, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington, W.Va.
Gladys was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late Warren and Ellen Fordham Meyers.
She was a retired bus driver for the Raceland Worthington School System, a member of Bell Choir, she enjoyed reading and going to Church and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Worthington Church of the Nazarene.
Gladys is survived by sons, Paul Mayle (Sandra) of Michigan, John Mayle (Frances) of Michigan, James Spence of Ashland, Bob Spence of Worthington and Bill Spence (Debra) of Groveport, Ohio; daughters, Connie Traugott (Danny) of Ashland and Cathy Salyers (Jack) of Worthington; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold Meyers and Arthur Meyers; sisters, Thelma Mayle and Geraldine Hurn; and James Spence.
The funeral for Ms. Spence will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Worthington Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Paul Neal will officiate. Burial will follow in Catlettsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg and one hour prior to service time Monday at the Church.
