SANDY HOOK —
John Dee Ison, 52, of Sandy Hook, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born Oct. 25, 1960, in Ashland, the son of Isom Jr. Ison of Sandy Hook and Sarah Jane Bowling of Sandy Hook.
He was a truck driver and belonged to the Teamsters in Ashland. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is also survived by a sister, Rhonda Lee Ison of Sandy Hook; a brother, Ronald Dean and wife Melanie L. Ison; and two nephews, Jacob L. Ison and Jared T. Ison.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook by Brother Tim Porter. Burial will be in Bowling Family Cemetery in Elliott County.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
