Roger Lee Justice 1948-2012

ASHLAND — Roger Lee Justice, 64, of Rush, passed away in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Aug. 23, 2012. He was born March 17, 1948, a son of the late James and Inez Braden Justice.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frankie and Jerry Michael Justice. He was a US Navy Vietnam War Veteran serving aboard the USS Collett. He retired from AK Steel Coke Department in 2000 and was an avid bingo player.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Ellen Sue Steele Justice; three daughters, Sheena (Rocky) Waugh of Greenup, Susie (Jay) Sayers of Williamstown, and Teresa Joy Justice of Rush; two sons, Michael Justice of Columbus, Ohio, and Phillip Justice of Clarksburg, Tenn.; three sisters, Theresa (Neal) Parks of Orlando, Fla., Bonnie (Mike) Penrose of Hardin and Johnna Jean Hines of Ironton, Ohio; one brother, James Justice Jr. of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Trey Martin, Chandler Waugh, Stephanie and Sierra Allen, Janie and Moirin Sayers and Allison Waugh; and one uncle, Jack (Nancy) Justice of Flatwoods.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, in Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County with Dr. Lee Gussler officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by East Carter High School JROTC.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Roger’s memory to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
