Helen Barber Fitch, 93, of Russell, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, following an extended illness.
Helen was born Aug. 29, 1919, in Westwood, to the late Karl and Hazel Craft Barber.
She was a former member of the Westwood Woman’s Club and a member of First Baptist Church of Russell.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. Fitch; a brother, Karl Barber; and a sister, Gerrie Barber Stafford.
Survivors include a brother, Gene Barber of Fayetteville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by the Rev. Ken Gowin. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Russell Building Fund, 901 Ashland Drive, Russell, KY 41169.
