FLATWOODS —
Gardner Kent Combs Jr., 61, of Flatwoods, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Combs was born Nov. 18, 1950, in Prestonsburg, a son of Joan Hall Combs of Greenup and the late Gardner Kent Combs Sr.
He was a retired caster operator for AK Steel.
Also surviving are his loving wife, Kathleen Walker Combs; two sons, Gardner Kent (Michelle Doyle) Combs III of Miami, Fla., and Robert Combs of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a brother, Paul Combs of Greenup.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods by the Rev. Roy Roach.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland.
