ASHLAND —
Margaret Frances Kinzer Mynhier, 87, of Ashland, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 19, 2012, at the Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born May 16, 1925, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Samuel Dewey and Elizabeth Bryan Kinzer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Clay Mynhier in 1987.
Margaret was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Ashland. She began her working career at the Pentagon during WWII. Following the war, she worked at 2nd National Bank and later retired from Dr. Max Wheeler’s office after many years of service. Above all, her greatest achievement was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory include sons; James W. (Kathleen) Mynhier of Louisville and Walter C. Mynhier of Ashland; daughter, Rebecca McCoy of Ashland; brother, Jerry Kinzer of Ashland; sister, Billie Kinzer Rapczynski of Valrico, Fla.; grandchildren, Kristen McCoy (Paul) Shively, Mary Frances Mynhier and John Leslie (Julie) Mynhier; two great grandchildren, Ryan Clay Leighty and James Mason Shively.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the funeral home.
