LOUISA —
Ivan Butcher, 82, of Mulberry Avenue, Louisa, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday Oct. 27, 2012.
Ivan was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Paintsville, the son of the late Beacher and Ollie Williams Butcher.
He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters. He was a member of Friendship United Baptist Church. He joined the church on June 8, 1957, and was ordained as a minister in May 1965. He was a electrician by trade, retiring from the Elliot Co.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Colvin Butcher; a daughter, Jane Butcher of Meally; two sisters, Georgene Barnette of Lexington and Anita Gay Walters and husband Frank of Miamisburg, Ohio; a brother, Douglas Butcher and wife Opal of Meally; and two favorite nephews, Steve and Dave Butcher both of Meally.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 by Elders Flem Allen Arrowwood and Glen Pennix at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
