Beatrice Clark Robinson 1913-2012

GRAYSON — Beatrice Clark Robinson, 98, of Grayson, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 26, 1913, the daughter of the late James Lafayette and Hattie Boggs Clark.  

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, William Ernest Robinson Sr.; a precious daughter-in-law, Sandra Holbrook Robinson; and a granddaughter, Dana Lynn Robinson.  

Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Ashland High School and Morehead State University. She was a retired teacher who taught 40 years in the Elliott Carter, Carter County and Ashland school systems. She was a member of the Boyd County Retired Teachers Association, the Carter County Retired Teachers Association, the Kentucky Education Association and the National Education Association. She was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by a daughter, Gail (Robert) Smith of Martin, Tenn.; three sons, James (Loma) Morris Robinson of Grayson, Jack Clark Robinson of Albuquerque, N.M., William Ernest “Bill” Robinson of Grayson; four grandchildren Tomi Parrish of Martin, Tenn., Michael Shawn (Carol) McCutchen of Avondale, Pa., James Eric (Kristy) Robinson and Julia Ann (Herbie) Jackson of Grayson; 11 great-grandchildren, Eric, Tyler, Jesse, Michael, Connor, Matthew, Trace, Stuart, Will, Taylor and Grace; four sisters-in-law, Clara Kozee, Helen Riffe, Jean Robinson and Mary Robinson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Some special friends were Carman Hay, Carla Seagraves, Nikki Horton, Andrea Seagraves, the late Ramona Gee and Betty Hay and her daughters, Vickie, Judy and Lynn.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Malone Funeral Home by Minister Harry Sanders. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.  

Friends may call  from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson.
