FLATWOODS —
Anna Marie Salyers-LeMaster, 90, of Flatwoods, passed from this earthy life on Saturday morning, Feb. 4, 2012, and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. LeMaster was born in Johnson County, on Jan. 11, 1922, to the late Granville and Dona Evans-Salyers.
Anna was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Flatwoods. She was an active volunteer with the Flatwoods Senior Citizens Center for many years.
Besides her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen LeMaster, who passed away in 2000; two sons, Dewy LeMaster and Larry LeMaster; two grandchildren, Teresa LeMaster-Wilburn and Rodney LeMaster Jr.; as well as one great-grandchild, Michael Dillow.
She leaves behind a son, Rod and Sue LeMaster of Flatwoods; two daughters, Glenna and Charles Dillow of Lakeland, Fla., and Velva and Jim Stanhope of Winchester; a daughter-in-law, Barbara LeMaster of Flatwoods; one brother, James H. Salyers of Coal Grove, Ohio; two very special friends, Glenda Harlan of Flatwoods and Dee Skidmore of Grayson; as well as five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the Cribbs Hill Cemetery in Grayson. The family has entrusted final arrangements to the care of Carman Funeral Home, 2301 Argillite Road, Flatwoods.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the Flatwoods Senior Citizens Center, 2513 Reed Street, Flatwoods, KY 41139, in her memory.
