ASHLAND —
Lane Kristopher McCloud, was born July 29, 2012, in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va., and passed away in the CHH NICU on July 30, 2012. Lane was the son of Kristopher and Lenora (Lee) Lane McCloud of Ashland.
Lane was preceded to Heaven by his grandmother, Kathy McCloud.
In addition to his parents, also surviving are Lane’s brother, Jake McCloud of Ashland; Lane’s grandparents, Joe and Lynn Lane of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Delbert McCloud of Ft. Gay, W.Va., all of whom were fortunate enough to meet him; his uncles and aunts, Joe Lane and Julie Wilson of Emory, Va., John and Tricia Lane of Raleigh, N.C., and Jason and Tara McCloud of Grayson; and cousins, Charlie, Eli, Grace and Miriah Lane, and Paxton and Parker McCloud.
A private family service was conducted Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland. Arrangements were under the direction of Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg.
In his Mothers words:
We were so lucky to have but a short time with our sweet son, Lane Kristopher McCloud (July 29, 2012 – July 30, 2012). To best honor his life and make an impact on families in a situation similar to ours, donations can be made to the Zane B. Nelson NICU Memorial Fund, c/o CHH Foundation, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington, WV 25701. The Zane B. Nelson fund helps to provide special supplies needed by preemies, as well as comfort items for parents of preemies, and financial assistance to parents who may not have the luxuries of resources or support that we were fortunate to have, while their child is in the NICU.
