FALLSBURG —
Gladys Diamond, 89, of Fallsburg, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was the widow of Ray Diamond and the daughter of the late Smith Adams Sr. and Ida Berry Adams.
She is survived by her four children, Regina Tackett of Fallsburg, Duke (Jeanie) Diamond of Louisa, Raymona (Turman) Meadows of Lexington and Pam (Phil) Wilson of Louisa; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Bentley, Kenneth Doyle Tackett, April Hovis, Kerry Henderson, Philip John Wilson, Anna Prince, Keegan Meadows and Amanda Martin; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Diamond was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Henderson Burchett; a grandson, Jacob Lane Bush; three brothers, Jay, Jack and Smith Adams Jr.; and a sister, Eva.
The family will receive family and friends at Young Funeral Home in Louisa from 4 to 9 p.m. today, July 12, 2012.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at Austin Diamond Cemetery in Fallsburg by the Rev. Roy T. Adams.
