ASHLAND —
Clifford Ray Adkins, 83, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, in Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland.
He was born June 27, 1929, a son of the late Leonard Adkins and Sarah Stanley Adkins.
Clifford was of the Baptist faith and was a supervisor at Mansbach Metal.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Kingery Adkins; one son, Ronnie Adkins; two brothers, Bill Adkins and Hager Adkins; and one sister, Carolyn Baugess.
He is survived by three sons, Roger (Jean) Adkins of Flatwoods, Terry (Chrissty) Adkins of Ironton, Ohio, and Rusty (Libby) Adkins of Russell; three daughters, Cheri Prichard of Grayson, Janet (Harold) Whitt of Franklin, Ohio, and Karen Sizemore of Raceland; seven sisters, Jenny Stone, Louise Hignite, Phyllis (John) Bair, and Beverly (JR) Griffith, all of Grayson, Agnes Roberts of South Shore, Gladys (Roy) Ross of Illinois, and Stella (Jack) Dinkens of Rush; his stepmother, Pearl Adkins; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will follow at East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home.
