WURTLAND —
Ronald Lee Lucas, 75, of Wurtland, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at his home in Clearwater, Fla.
Mr. Lucas was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Logan, W.Va., a son of the late Roma E. Lucas and Audrey May Lucas Keaton.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Gene Lucas.
He was a retired conductor for CSX Railroad and attended Bridges Christian Church in Russell. Ron was known for his love of the game of golf.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean A. Heaberlin Lucas; a son, Michael and his wife, Rebecca Lucas, of Clearwater; two grandchildren, Chandra Danielle (Andrew) Sale of Dover, Ohio, and Aaron Michael Lucas of Clearwater; and a great-grandchild, Cooper Lee Sale of Dover.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Mark McKinney. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
