Mary Enna Horne (1910-2009)
Mary Enna Horne, 99, of Rush, Ky., went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, from Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Point, Ohio.
She was born March 21, 1910, in Iron Hill, Ky., to the late Frank and Junie Franklin Davis.
She was a schoolteacher at Iron Hill and Fairview. She was a member of Rush Missionary Baptist Church since 1954, where she taught Sunday school for more than 30 years. She loved crocheting, quilts and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Horne, in 2002; three brothers, Howard, Hobert and John Davis; three sisters, Bertha Goodwin, Ida Davis and Jewell Davis; and a niece, Kimberly Robinson.
Her survivors include three nephews, Gary Goodwin, Roy Francis Hill and Brent Davis; seven nieces, Joyce Goodwin Leaver, Janet Smith, Mary Lee Adams, Jeanette Rogers, Suzan Davis, Karen Davis and Melissa Sainz; a special great-nephew, Douglas Leaver; and a special friend and neighbor, Norma Jean Ingle.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by minister Jerry Foster. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Arzie Calhoun Wellman (1937-2009)
Arzie Calhoun Wellman, 71, of Louisa, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in Three Rivers Medical Center in Lawrence County after an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 19, 1937, in Chattaroy, W.Va., to the late Clayton Calhoun and Mary Farris Calhoun. Her husband of 52 years, Frank Wellman, survives.
She was a housewife, a member of Southside Baptist Church and attended Faith Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Sarah Arzie Preston; two sisters, Audrey Wheat and Wanda Calhoun; and a brother, Orville Calhoun.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Donna McDowell of Blaine, Ky., Carla (Guy) Preston of Louisa, Ky., Connie Young of Louisa, Ky., and Mary Jean (Kirk) Caudill of Louisa, Ky.; two sons, Jerry Wellman of Ashland, Ky., and Lyndon Wellman of Louisa, Ky.; three sisters, Martha Blankenship of Catlettsburg, Ky., Gayle Russell of Louisa, Ky., and Emma Jean Thompson of Louisa, Ky.; and two brothers, Ray Calhoun of Louisa, Ky., and Earl Calhoun of Ortonville, Mich.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Young Funeral Home in Louisa by the Rev. Kenneth Wright. Burial will be in Yatesville Memorial Gardens in Louisa.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Her husband, Emmor Evans Sr., survives.

Jessie Elizabeth Porter Lewis, 57, of Sandy Hook, died Saturday in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lewis of Sandy Hook.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook. Burial will be in Porter Family Cemetery at North Ruin.

Maxine H. Powell, 81, of Wellington, died Saturday in St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Big Woods Community Church in Wellington. Burial will be in Black Cemetery in Wellington.
