Lloyd G. Howard (1922-2009)

Lloyd George Howard, 87, of Greenup, Ky., went to be with the Lord Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, in Greenup.

Mr. Howard was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Greenup County, Ky., a son of the late Samuel and Susann Allen Howard.

He was an United States Air Force veteran and was a retired airplane mechanic from the Air Force base in Enon, Ohio. He attended the Greenup Senior Citizen Center where he loved to go to the dances on Friday nights and dance.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emmogene Howard; and one son, William L. Howard.

He is survived by one son, Mark (Nicole) Howard of Appleton, Wis.; one daughter, Brenda Boggs Warren of Beauford, N.C.; and six grandchildren, Debra Howard, Tonia Howard, Logan Howard, Landon Howard, Brianna Howard and Bill Howard.

Graveside rites will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, Ky., by minister Tom Heaberlin.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup.



James Woods (1954-2009)

James Ray Woods, 54, of Rush, died Wednesday in Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born June 4, 1954, in Russell.

His wife, Linda Lou Carter Woods, survives.

There will be no service.

Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Middleton (1949-2009)

Ronald Kenneth Middleton, 60, of Elliott County, died Thursday in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

He was born July 12, 1949, in Carter County.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill. Burial will be in Mauk Cemetery in Elliott County.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Sunday and until the service Monday at the funeral home.

David “Goof” Russell (1962-2009)

David L. “Goof” Russell, 47, of Ironton, died Thursday at his residence.

He was born April 17, 1962, in Lawrence County.

His wife, Julie Litton Russell, preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at City Mission Church in Ironton. Burial will be in Vernon Furnace Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton and one hour before the service Monday at the church.

Marguerite Fullerton (1921-2009)

Marguerite Frances Fullerton, 87, of South Point, died Wednesday in Sunset Nursing Center in Coal Grove.

She was born Dec. 31, 1921.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home in Ironton. Burial will be in Buckeye Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
