Vernon T. Williams - 1945-2009
Vernon Travis Williams, 64, of Ashland, passed away in Community Hospice Care Center Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009. He was born Feb. 10, 1945 in Ashland to the late Palmer and Gladys King Williams.
Vernon was a self employed mechanic with Williams Gulf Station and was a member of Westwood Christian Church.
He is survived by a son, Jeffrey David Williams of Ashland; two daughters, Latisha Williams of Ashland and Anastasha Williams of Canton, Ohio; a brother, J.C. Williams of Ashland; a sister, Wanda Doty of Westwood; a grandchild, Braden Williams; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by Rev. Dean Jackson. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon on Monday at the funeral home.

Steve M. Steele, 53, of Ashland, died Thursday in Community Hospice Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland.

Chester Douglas “Doug” Turner, 56, of Wayland, died Friday in St. Joseph Hospital in Martin. He was born March 8, 1953, in Garrett. His wife, Sandra Webb Turner, survives.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home Chapel in Martin. Burial will be in Mayo Cemetery in Prestonsburg.
Harry E. Dunigan - 1912-2009
Harry E. Dunigan, 97, of Vanceburg, died Wednesday in the Golden Living Center in Vanceburg. He was born Dec. 28, 1912, in Lewis County. His wife, Beulah Kathryn Flinders Dunigan, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Gaydos Funeral Home. Burial will be in Flinders Cemetery in Lewis County.

Travis Lee Blanton of Paintsville, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born May 12, 1978, in Floyd County. His wife, Tiffiny Baisden Blanton, survives.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Whitaker Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in Blanton Cemetery on Blanton Branch in Floyd County.

Mattie Lee Davis Moore, 71, of Louisa, died Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital in London, Ky. She was born Aug. 7, 1938. Her husband, Richard Moore, survives.
