Darlene M. Riddle 1927-2013

COLUMBUS, OH — Darlene M. Riddle, 85, of Whitehall, Ohio, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and reunited with her beloved Johnny on Saturday, March 2, 2013.  

She was born July 2, 1927, to the late James L. and Anna (Rayburn) McKenzie.  

She was a 1945 graduate of Columbus South High School and retired from Agler-Davidson Sporting Goods. She was an active longtime member of Eastview United Methodist Church. She and Johnny enjoyed ballroom dancing and taking their annual trip to Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed playing the piano, was a member of the Fairway Oaks Bridge Club and the neighborhood “crafties.”  

Darlene is survived by her son, John (Lori) Riddle; daughter, Katheryn (Alex) Fernandez; grandchildren, Janelle (Matt) Guirreri, Rocky Riddle and Andrew, Max and Simon Fernandez; sisters, Telt (Charles) Williams and Joye (John, deceased) King; nieces and nephews, Bob (Julie) Williams, Lynne (David) Frazier, Randy King, James (Lora) King, Jill (Tony) Apro, Joe King and Jay King; and extended family and dear friends.  

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Schoedinger East Chapel, in Columbus with the Rev. John Ash and the Rev. Tina Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Chapel.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastview United Methodist Church Youth and Camp Fund, 1045 Ross Road, Columbus, OH 43227 or Isabelle Ridgway Care Center, 1520 Hawthorne Ave., Columbus, OH 43211.
