WURTLAND —
Paul Edward Conley, 86, of Wurtland, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland.
Mr. Conley was born March 13, 1926, in Ashland, a son of the late William and Gladys Jordan Conley.
He was a retired postal worker, a WWII veteran serving with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific Theater and then continued his service in the military by retiring from the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Conley of Martinez, Calif., and Carol Conley of San Francisco Calif.; a son, Bill Conley of Park Hills; a brother, William Conley of Wurtland; and three sisters, Betty Bailey of Columbus, Ohio, Frieda Hayes and Peggy Perkins, both of Flatwoods.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County. The Rev. Charles Shields will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup is in charge of the arrangements.
