WURTLAND —
Clifford Church, 78, of Wurtland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mr. Church was born July 28, 1934, in Ashland, a son of the late Earl and Clisty Stambaugh Church. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lilly Akers, and a grandson, Roger Akers.
He was a retired foreman for the Hern Block Co. and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Miller Church; three daughters, Betty (Carl) Jobe and Sheila (Rick) Wells, both of Ashland, and Julia (John) Shaffer of Worthington; three sons, Tom (Amy) Church of Bellefonte and Richard (Julia) Church and Ryan Church, both of Wurtland; a son-in-law, Roger Akers of Flatwoods; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by the Rev. Alfred Moore Jr. and the Rev. Ron Cordle. Burial will be in Coalton Community Cemetery. Mr. Church’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
