OCALA, FL —
Charles T. Colvin, 76, of Ocala, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in Monroe Regional Hospital in Ocala.
He was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Johnson County, a son of the late Sanford and Julia Moore Colvin.
He was a resident of Delaware, Ohio, for 50 years.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran and served with the 3rd Armored Division. His life passions included being a member of York Temple Masonic Lodge in Columbus, Ohio, Scottish Rite (32nd-degree Mason), the National Riffle Association, the Cushman Club of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the AMVETS.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Colvin; a sister, Dottie Sandry and her husband, Robert; a sister-in-law, Christine Norwood, and her husband, Donald; and nephews John Burton, Steven Burton, Josh Burton, Samuel Burton and his wife, Lily, and their son, Christian.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Samuel T. Colvin.
Burial will be in Colvin Family Cemetery in Johnson County.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. by Greenup Masonic Lodge 89.
