GRAYSON —
Rose Lee Strong, 84, of Grayson, died Saturday evening, July 7, 2012, at her residence.
She was born July 30, 1927, in Jackson, a daughter of the late Elijah and Tressie New Clay.
Mrs. Strong was a member of Iron Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was a former owner of Western Auto in Grayson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Strong; six brothers, Alex, Sol, Jim, Bill, Woodrow, Coolage and Langley Clay; and four sisters, Dora Clay, Cora Be Howard, Pearl Stevens and Lilly Watts.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Faye Sylvester and her husband, Mick, of Grayson; and a special niece and caregiver, Jessie Keesling.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by Jack Clay and Jim Stephens. Burial will be in Cribbs Hill Cemetery in Carter County.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today, July 9, 2012, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
