ASHLAND —
Ellen Elizabeth Kretzer McKnight, 85, of Ashland, wife of Thomas McKnight Jr., died Saturday morning, July 7, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland following an extended illness. Ellen was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Van Lear, a daughter of the late Charles and Mimia Thomas Kretzer. She faithfully attended Westwood Wesleyan Church.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 67 years are two sons, Gary McKnight of Castalian Springs, Tenn., and Thomas McKnight III and wife Virginia of Ashland; a daughter, Diana Frasure and husband Eddie of Rush; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, by the Rev. Phillip Zimmerman at Westwood Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
