Audrey Tackett Clark - 1921-2012

CATLETTSBURG — Audrey Clark, 91, of Catlettsburg, was lifted into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday morning, Oct. 19, 2012, in the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late Lindsey T. and Sarah Ellen Dials Tackett

She was born March 22, 1921, in Garth. Audrey’s husband, Warren F. “Jack” Clark preceded her in death in 2008.

She was a graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School and American Artist Art School. Audrey was a loving homemaker and an accomplished water color artist, winning numerous awards for her artwork. She loved traveling with her husband all over the United States, attending artist seminars, they enjoyed dancing and belonged to the Tri State Round Dancing Club.

Left behind are her children;  a son, John A. Clark of Flatwoods, and daughter, Linda McKenzie of Ashland; seven grandchildren, James F. “Rusty” Crace, Cathy C. Woods, Paul Stephen Crace, John Warren Clark, Amy M. Smith, Michael S. Clark and Allison M. Clark; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, 2512 Broadway Street in Catlettsburg. Officiating is the Rev. Richard Brown. Final rest will be in Ashland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg.
