CARTER —
Jack P. Glass Jr., 75, of Grayson, passed away Sept. 24, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born July 18, 1937, in Grayson, the son of the late Jack and Mildred Harris Glass Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Fraley Glass; and his sister, Marilyn Glass.
Jack was a Christian and a lifelong member of Barrett’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a farmer and well-known business man.
He is survived by two sons, Jerome (special friend, Cathy Brown) Glass II of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, and Steve (Leah) Glass of Grayson; and a daughter, Cindy Glass Suttles of Grayson.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Barrett’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Jim Stephens and Tom Swartzwelder officiating. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the church.
