Paul Stevens - 1957-2012

ASHLAND — Paul Edward Stevens, 55, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

 Paul was born June 18, 1957, in Ashland, to the late Ed and Tola A. Teater Stevens. He worked for more than 30 years as a lineman for American Electric Power/Kentucky Power Co. He was a member of the IBEW and was the chairman for AEP members. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Russell.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Pierce Thompson.

 Survivors include a son, Derrick Stevens and wife Autumn of Ashland; a daughter, Alyssa Stevens of Ashland; a brother, Larry (Karen) Stevens of Ashland; two grandchildren, Asher Stevens and Calleigh Riffe; and numerous extended family and friends.

 Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, by the Rev. Ken Gowin at First Baptist Church of Russell. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood is in charge of arrangements.

 In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be sent to Community Hospice Care Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101.
