Wilma Allene White (1922-2010)
Wilma Allene White, 87, of Ashland, Ky., passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, in Jo-Lin Health Care Center in Ironton, Ohio.
She was born Dec. 27, 1922, in Rowan County, Ky., a daughter of the late John Allie and Bethel Lee Knipp White. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stacy Stanifer; a daughter, Sylvia Katherine Pioggia; and three brothers, William White, Lloyd White and Bill White and his wife, Louise.
Wilma previously attended Heritage Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include a grandson, Brent Estell of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Burl White of Paradise, Calif., husband of the late Wanda White; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; two sisters-in-law, Leatrice White Stafford and husband Tom of Ashland and Judy Hensley of Catlettsburg, Ky.; two cousins, Esther Lowe of Logan, W.Va., and Katherine Thomas of Clarksville, Ind.; and a special family, Becky, Clyde and Lexie Hammonds of Ashland.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead by the Rev. Ed Cook. Burial will be in Andy White Cemetery on Fouch Road in Morehead, Ky.
Visitation will be after noon Thursday at the funeral home.

Carl Dickison
Carl Frederick Dickison, 88, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, in Conway Medical Center in South Carolina.
He was born in Ashland, Ky., a son of the late Harry and Nancy Dickison. Mr. Dickison was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Murrells Inlet VFW Post 10420.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Dickison; two daughters, Karla Comer and husband Garry of Surfside Beach and Sue Clauss and husband Charlie of Maryland; a granddaughter, Sarah Clauss of Maryland; and two brothers, Jack Dickison and Virgil Dickison, both of Ashland.
A memorial service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Conway by the Rev. Preston Shealy.

Edwin Hazel Holman (1960-2010)
Edwin Hazel Holman, 49, of Rush, Ky., died Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Ashland, Ky., following a sudden illness.
Eddie was born April 20, 1960, in Vicksburg, Miss., a son of the late Theodore and Ruth Goode Holman. He was the youngest of eight boys and was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Douglas Holman.
Eddie was a transport driver with PAM Transport.
Surviving are his wife, Crystal Miles Holman; a daughter, Serenity Lakota Holman of Rush; six brothers, Sterling Holman (Joyce) of Augusta, Ga., Jesse Holman (Shirley) of Vicksburg, James Holman (Cynthia) of Greenwood, Miss., Ted Holman (Cam) of Vicksburg, Harold Holman of Dallas, Ga., and Alvin Holman (Carolyn) of Vicksburg; and a loving sister-in-law, Sue Holman of Vicksburg.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Michael Rice.

Birdie Spears (1946-2010)
Birdie Johnson Spears, 64, of Hi Hat, died Friday at her residence.
She was born March 7, 1946, in Wheelwright.
Her husband, Buster Spears, preceded her in death.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Hall Funeral Home in Martin. Burial will be in Newman Cemetery at Hi Hat.
Henry Price (1935-2010)
Henry Harold Price, 74, of Offutt, died Monday.
He was born June 8, 1935, in Johnson County.
His wife, Ida Knott Price, survives.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Boons Camp Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Henry Price Cemetery at Offutt.

Pauline Thomas (1923-2010)
Pauline Faye Thomas, 86, of Coal Grove, died Saturday at her residence.
She was born April 5, 1923, in Lawrence County.
Her husband, Armand “Pete” Thomas, preceded her in death.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton. Burial will be in Community Cemetery.
