CATLETTSBURG —
Opal McWayne Marshall, 82, of Catlettsburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Community Hospice of Ashland.
She was born April 16, 1930, in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late Sherman and Nola Griffith McWayne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit W. Marshall, and one brother and two sisters.
She attended Living Waters Pentecostal Church. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Thompson of Catlettsburg; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Sharon Marshall of Catlettsburg; grandchildren, Bobby Thompson, Kimberly and Allan Mielke, Daniel Conner, Shawnna and Ed Essl, Jonda Marshall and Marvin and Stephanie Thompson; eight great-grandchildren, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Margaret McWayne and Bennie “Bus” and Sue McWayne.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rick Morrison and Pastor James Morrison officiating.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Online condolences may be expressed at rollinsfh.com.
