ASHLAND —
Pauline Brown Thomas, 74, of Ashland, passed away Jan. 11, 2013, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born July 3, 1938, the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Wooten Brown.
She attended two churches, Summit Nazarene Church in Ashland and the Baptist Church in Kenansville, Fla. She was a wonderful quilter. She loved fishing, cooking and gardening. She also enjoyed playing her guitar, doing things with her grandchildren and friends and wintering in Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Lawrence and Silas Brown; and one infant sister.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John L. Thomas; one son, John L. Thomas Jr.; and three daughters, Donna (Tim) Baldridge of Russell, Janet Moles of Ona, W.Va., and Karen (Paul) Wurts of Ashland; two brothers, Charles Brown of Flatwoods and Harold Brown of Hunnewell; two sisters, Grace Haskins of Ironton, Ohio, and Christine Cannon of Russell; and eight grandchildren who she dearly loved, Jared and Amber Baldridge, Cassie, Stacie and Rusti Thomas, Paulina and Hannah Moles, Haylee Wurts; and “Cookie”, beloved granddog; and a wonderful circle of friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Minister Tim Daniels. Burial will follow at Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home.
