RESORT PARK

The first and third Monday of each month, 6 to 10 p.m. — Pickin’ at the Caves. Anyone who plays a musical instrument is invited to come and play. Listeners are welcome, too.



COAL MINERS’ BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

Aug. 15 — The event, in memory of Jim Connley, features Mountain Heart, Bluegrass Strangers, Tommy Webb, Billie Rene and Cumberland Gap, True Gospel Echoes, Kayla Clevenger and Five for the Gospel. Tickets are $20 for adults, half-price for school-aged children, free for pre-schoolers; proceeds will benefit the park program.

The festival will be at Pleasant Ridge Park at Yatesville Lake.
