ASHLAND — senior centers

Ashland

Events this week at the Ashland Senior Center at 324 15th St. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 324-7323. In case of bad weather, the center will follow the schedule of Ashland school system.

Emma Lee Hicks February Senior of the Month.

Today: 9 a.m. — Coffee and paper; 10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky; 11:30 a.m. — Lunch; noon — Board games, computer class.

Tuesday: 9 a.m. — Art class; 10:30 a.m. — Gattiland.

Wednesday: 9 a.m. — Coffee and paper. 10:30 a.m. — Exercise/Becky. 11:30 a.m. — Lunch. Noon — corn hole and line dancing with Kevin.

Thursday: Library day; 6 p.m. — United Way Volunteer Dinner at Ashland Elks.

Friday: 9 a.m. — Coffee and paper; 10:30 a.m. — entertainment by Don Payne; 11:30 a.m. — Lunch; noon — Give Your Heart Away party.

Feb. 13: 9 a.m. — coffee and paper. 10:30 a.m. — exercise with Becky; 11:30 a.m. — Valentine Lunch; noon — board games, computer class.



Boyd County

Events this week at the Boyd County Senior Center at 3015 Louisa St., Catlettsburg. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 739-6349. Those who need a bus ride should call by 8 a.m.

Today: 8 a.m. — coffee and doughnuts; 10 a.m. — Grief support with Freda Romans.

Tuesday: 8 a.m. — coffee and doughnuts; 10 a.m. — Bible study; 11 a.m. — Exercise.  

Wednesday: 8 a.m. — coffee and doughnuts. 10 a.m. — Bingo.

Thursday: 8 a.m. — coffee and doughnuts. 9:30 a.m. — Senior council meeting.

Friday: 8 a.m. — coffee and doughnuts; Music by Stanly Stamper.

Feb. 13: 8 a.m. — coffand doughnuts; 10 a.m. — Grief support with Freda Romans.

Carter County

Events this week at the Carter County Senior Center at 200 N. Hord St., Grayson. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (606) 474-4179.

Today: Bingo.

Tuesday: Groundhog predictions.

Wednesday: Current events with the Grayson Journal.

Thursday: Breakfast.

Friday: Bingo.

Feb. 6: Bingo.

Elliott County

Events this week at the Elliott County Senior Citizens Center, Rocky Adkins Community Center, Main Street, Sandy Hook. (606) 738-6945. Open 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Greenup

Events this week at the Greenup County Senior Center at the new address, 1617 Ashland Road behind Stultz Pharmacy in the Applegate Plaza. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walking daily, weather permitting. Telephone: (606) 473-6244.

Today: Games (Wii, pool etc.) — Line dance class from 6 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday: 11 a.m. — Bingo.

Wednesday: 10 a.m. — Exercise.

Thursday: 10 a.m. — Group discussion.

Raceland

Events this week at the Raceland Community Center.

Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. — Ladies games and lunch.

Thursday: 10:30 a.m. — Games. 6 to 9 p.m. — Line dancing.

Russell

Activities Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Russell Senior Center at the Russell Depot on Ferry Street are TV, computers, library, board games, card games and museum.
