ASHLAND — senior centers

Ashland

Events this week at the Ashland Senior Center at 324 15th St. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 324-7323. In case of bad weather, the center will follow the schedule of Ashland school system.

Michael Mussetter: March Senior of the Month.

Today:  9 a.m. — Coffee and paper. 10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky. 11:30 a.m. — Lunch. Noon — Board games and computer glass.

Tuesday: 9 a.m. — Art class.

Wednesday: 9 a.m. — Coffee and paper. —  10:30 a.m. — Exercise with Becky. — 11:30 a.m. — Lunch. Noon — Bean bag toss and Kevin/dance.

Thursday: Library Day.

Friday: Pot luck — 9 a.m. — Coffee and paper. — 10:30 a.m. — Bingo — 11:30 a.m. — Lunch. — Noon — Games.

April 2: 9 a.m. — Coffee and paper — 10:30 a.m. — Exercise/Becky. — 11:30 a.m. — Lunch. Noon — Board games and computer class.

Boyd County

Events this week at the Boyd County Senior Center at 3015 Louisa St., Catlettsburg. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Telephone: (606) 739-6349. Those who need a bus ride should call by 8 a.m.

Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. — Bible study. — 10:30 a.m. — Exercise. — Monthly Birthday recognition.

Wednesday: 10 a.m. — Bingo.

Thursday: 9:30 a.m. — Bible study. — 10:30 a.m. — Exercise.

Carter County

Events this week at the Carter County Senior Center at 200 N. Hord St., Grayson. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (606) 474-4179.

Today: Bingo.

Tuesday: Baby Shower.

Wednesday: Current events with/ Grayson Journal.

Thursday: Sick day rules for Diabetes.

Friday: Bingo.

April 2: Diaster preparness.

Elliott County

Events this week at the Elliott County Senior Citizens Center, Rocky Adkins Community Center, Main Street, Sandy Hook. (606) 738-6945. Open 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.          

Today: Feeling great create a happy atmosphere — Scrabble.

Tuesday: 50 ways to slash your grocery bill. — Exericse hand grip w/ balls.

Wednesday: Guidelines of life’s simple seven what foods to choose instead of what is wrong for you.

Thursday: Positive thoughts to reduce stress. — Crossword puzzles.

Friday: Stressed to the limit. — Hand exericse w/ balls.

April 2:

Greenup

Events this week at the Greenup County Senior Center at the new address, 1617 Ashland Road behind Stultz Pharmacy in the Applegate Plaza. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walking daily, weather permitting. Telephone: (606) 473-6244.

Today: Games (Wii, pool etc.); Line dance class from 6 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday: 11 a.m. — Bingo.

Wednesday: 10 a.m. — Exercise. 

Thursday: Recipe exchange.

Friday: Dessert day.

April 2: Games (Wii, pool, etc.).— Line dance from 6 to 9 p.m.

Raceland

Events this week at the Raceland Community Center.

Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. — Ladies games and lunch.

Thursday: 10:30 a.m. — Games. 6 to 9 p.m. — Line dancing.

Russell

Activities Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Russell Senior Center at the Russell Depot on Ferry Street are TV, computers, library, board games, card games and museum.
