Crews begin painting 1-lane bridge in eastern Ky.

BETSY LAYNE — Crews are expected to begin painting a a one-lane span in Floyd County that used to be a railroad bridge.

The Kentucky Transporation Cabinet says Campbell, Ohio-based Troy Painting will start work Monday. The project to paint the Justell Bridge in Betsy Layne is expected to take about a month. The bridge is being painted a gray color.

Engineer Matthew Moore says traffic flow across the bridge will be tightly controlled. He says "everyone will have to take turns and drive carefully."

He says officials are asking people who use the bridge "to partner with us to make sure we have no accidents during this project."
