Dawn Cheri Brislin and Luke David Lorenz, both of State College, Pa., were married Nov. 29, 2008, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in State College.
The bride, daughter of Stephen and Sandra Brislin of Catlettsburg, graduated from Boyd County High School in 1999; from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of arts degree in social work in 2003; and from Eastern Kentucky University with a master of arts degree in school counseling. She will graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a PhD in counselor education in August 2009. She is a drug and alcohol counselor with Counseling Alternatives Group.
The groom, son of David and Paula Lorenz of West Chester, Penn., graduated from Henderson High School in 1994 and Lockhaven University in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in computer and information science. He is regional leader with PRIMERICA.
The couple honeymooned in South Africa.
