Kayla Suzanne Powers and Aaron Michael Snyder were marred at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2008, at Westwood Enterprise Baptist Church in Ashland. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rick Brinsley of Canton, Ohio, and Brad Wilson of Mason, Ohio.
Parents of the couple are Jim and Mary Powers of Ashland and Mike and Teresa Snyder of Ashland.
She is a 2005 graduate of Boyd County High School and will graduate in December of 2008 from Bellefonte Academy of Beauty.
He is a 2003 graduate of Lakota East High School in West Chester, Ohio and a 2007 journalism broadcast graduate from the University of Kentucky. He is employed as a front desk clerk at Tri-State Hemotology/Oncology at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Music for the ceremony was by Rod and Greta Rodkey of Ashland, aunt and uncle of the groom; Morgan Daniels, Kristin Rose, Susan and Kevin Sergent of Ashland, aunt and uncle of the groom; and Alyson Snyder, sister of the groom, who had written and dedicated a song “Your Story” to the couple.
Maids of honor were Toni Pendleton of Ashland and Alyson Snyder of Ashland, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Hannah Franks of Ashland, Kristina Perry of Greenup, Katie Donahue of Georgia, cousin of the bride; Morgan Hayes of Grayson, cousin of the bride; Becky Leach of Ashland, Danielle Bressiani of Brasil, sister of the bride.
Junior bridesmaids were Hannah Leach of Ashland, and Hannah Goebel and Sarah Goebel, both of Ashland, cousins of the bride.
Flower girls were Bailey Powers of Ashland, niece of the bride; Kaylynn Pratt of Ashland, cousin of the groom; and Maria Hayes of Grayson, cousin of the bride.
Bell ringer was Makenzie Hayes of Grayson, cousin of the bride; greeters and guest registrars were Dena Bissell of Ohio, Kendra Porter of Ashland and Katelynd Porter of Ashland; program attendants were Rebekah Kouns of Grayson, cousin of the bride, and Rebecca Sergent of Ashland, cousin of the groom.
Best men were John Robinson of Lexington and Bobby Trefilek of Cincinnati.

A butterfly ceremony was held as the couple and attendants boarded the Ashland Trolley for the ride to the reception at the Ashland Plaza Hotel.
Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Ashland.
