Womack-Kasey


Ashley Janine Womack and Dr. John M. Kasey were married on June 21, 2008, at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland. Father Mann Valentine of Calvary Episcopal Church officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Pam and Chip Womack of Ashland and Laura Kasey of Salt Rock, W.Va., and the late Butch Kasey.

She is a 2001 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and is a pharmaceutical sales representative for Sepracor.

He is a 2000 graduate of Marshall University and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and is a Nephrology Fellow at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Brooke Elswick of Ashland. Bridesmaids were Stacey Spears of Ashland, Laura Womack of Ashland, Sherrie Shollmier of Little Rock, Ark., and Kara Harris of Georgetown.

Best man was Matthew Kasey of Salt Rock. Groomsmen were Travis Womack of Ashland, Jason Berkenbaugh of Barboursville, John Jeffrey of Salt Rock and Dr. Brian DeFade of Charleston. Ushers were Matt Wise and Scott Wise, both of Atlanta, Ga.

The reception followed the ceremony at the Paramount.

Special guests were Kathy Chamis, the bride’s violin teacher, and Chuck Hood, the bride’s grandfather.

After a honeymoon to Moon Palace, Mexico, the couple will reside in Winston-Salem, N.C.
