Katherine Malysa and Adam Samuel Martin were married May 24, 2008, in a double-ring ceremony at St. George Island, Fla. Parents of the couple are Joseph and Anna Malysa of Bainbridge, Ohio, and Frances and Richard Martin of Ashland.
She attended Cuyahoga Community College. She is a radiology technician at the Cleveland Clinic.
He graduated from the University of Chicago in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree; The University of Kentucky in 1998 with a master’s degree; and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2002, with a doctor of medicine degree. He did his residency in general surgery from 2002 to 2007 at Case Western University Hospital. He is a general surgeon at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland, Ohio.
Maid of honor was Themelina Malyse, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Martin and MacKenzie Crone.
Flower girl was Madeline Martin.
Bestman was Joel Martin, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Arlie Wheeler Jr. and Rick Shields.
A reception followed the wedding at the Owl Cafe’ in Apalachiacola, Fla.
Following a wedding trip to The Greenbrier, White Sulpher Springs, W.Va., the couple are residing in Ashland, Ohio.
