Carlyn Kendall Vanover and James C. Hacker were united in marriage on Jan. 1, 2009, in a private ceremony at the home of Jim and Teresa Yates.
Floral arrangements of callalilies, hydrangeas and candles decorated the home for this special occasion performed by Pastor Jim Yates.
Matron of honor was Mary (Happy) Pauley; bridesmaid was Sarah Yates.
Best man was Jack (Bud) Pauley.
The bride wore a pink suit designed by Evelyn Miles of New York and carried a mother-of-pearl Bible from Jerusalem.
The wedding party enjoyed a private dinner in Ashland.
The couple will be honeymooning on the Christian Cruise, “Singing at Sea” in the Caribbean.
