Stennett-Russell


Amanda Stennett, daughter of Alan and Linda Stennett of Catlettsburg, and Shawn Russell, son of L. Thomas Russell and Lorie Bunnell of Unity, N.H., were united in marriage on Oct. 11, 2008, at Calvary Episcopal Church in Ashland.

The bride was escorted by her father and the wedding ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Chip Valentine of Ashland.

Matron of honor was Heather Perkins of Lexington. Bridesmaids included Kavitha Arms of Greenville, S.C., and Emily Schirmer of Everett, Mass.

Best man was William Heinz of Burlington, Vt. Groomsmen included Christopher Nitchie of Medford, Mass., and Anthony Delibero of West Hartford, Conn.

Shannon Popescu, sister of the groom, of Unity, Ashlee Pendley of Lexington, Ky., and Julie Stewart of Charlestown, N.H., served as readers.

The bride’s grandmother, Maxie Dean Patton, the groom’s grandparents, Lawrence and Lorraine St. Aubin of Claremont, N.H., his grandmother, Barbara Russell of Claremont and his great-grandmother, Phyllis Hooper of Newport, N.H., attended the ceremony.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Bellefonte Country Club.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School; a 2001 graduate of Clemson University and a 2005 graduate of the University of Virginia with a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering. She works at Fresenius Medical Care in Lexington, Mass., as a research engineer.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Stevens High School in Unity; a 2000 graduate of Lehigh University and a 2005 graduate of the University of Virginia with a Ph.D. in chemical engineering. He works at Genzyme in Framingham, Mass., as a staff scientist.

Following a honeymoon to Spain, the couple is living in Waltham, Mass.
