ASHLAND —
Julia Ann VanNorman and Dr. Nathan Charles Tice were married May 21, 2011, in a double-ring ceremony at Laurel Hall in Indianapolis by the Rev. Jim Cook of the Church at the Crossing in Indianapolis.
Parents of the couple are Paul and Deborah VanNorman of Mount Sterling, formerly of Ashland, and Phil and Kristin Tice of Shipshewana, Ind.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School; a 2002 graduate with a BA degree in business management from Anderson University in Anderson, Ind.; and a 2003 graduate with a master of science degree in industrial relations from West Virginia University. She is an advanced human resources consultant with Marathon Petroleum Co. in Indianapolis.
The groom is a 1999 graduate and valedictorian of Westview High School in Topeka, Ind. He is a 2003 graduate with a BA degree in chemistry from Anderson University; a 2006 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a PhD in inorganic chemistry and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in post-doctoral work in biomass chemistry. He is an adjunct professor in the department of chemistry and the department of physics at Butler University in Indianapolis.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Heather Leader of Perrysburg, Ohio. Bridesmaid was Jan Werner of Zionsville, Ind.
Flower girl was Anna VanNorman, niece of the bride, of Dublin, Ohio.
Best man was Dr. Chad Snyder of Bowling Green. Groomsman was Dr. Michael Timmons of Richmond.
The reception followed the wedding at Laurel Hall.
The couple are residing in Brownsburg, Ind.
