WURTLAND —
Ashley Danielle Hancock of Wurtland and Bryan Eugene McClure of Greenup, formerly of Russell, were united in marriage in an afternoon ceremony on Sept. 3, 2011, at Bellefonte Country Club. The double-ring ceremony was performed by David Smith of Spring Valley Church of Christ in Huntington.
Parents of the couple are Terry and Becky Hancock of Wurtland and Mary Hill of Decatur, Ala.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Raceland-Worthington High School and a 2009 graduate of Morehead State University with a BA degree in elementary education. She is a teacher at Fort Gay Elementary School.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Huntington High School and is employed by the Kroger Co. in Ashland.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matrons of honor were the bride’s sisters, Tara Hancock Fenney of Wurtland and Jana Hancock Peek of Proctorville.
Bridesmaids were the groom’s sister, Shawnda Blevins of Ona, W.Va., and Elizabeth Diamond of Ashland and Krista Miller of Huntington.
Flower girl was the groom’s niece, Makena Blevins of Ona and the ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Cameron Peek of Proctorville.
Justin Blevins of Ona, nephew of the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were the groom’s brother-in-law, Greg Blevins of Ona, Justin Sloan of Lexington, and the bride’s brothers-in-law, Stephen Fenney of Wurtland and Lucas Peek of Proctorville.
Program attendants were the bride’s niece, Cloe Peek of Proctorville and the bride’s cousin, Kayleigh Carver of Wurtland. Guests were registered by the bride’s cousin, Brittany Hayes of Huntington.
Music was provided by Trina Miller of Flatwoods and Lucas Peek.
A buffet reception followed the ceremony at Bellefonte Country Club.
The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg and now reside in Greenup.
