ASHLAND — There has been a time change in agenda for the Coach Cal Victory Tour, which starts today in Ashland.
UK Coach John Calipari and the national championship trophy will be at the Krogers in Ashland today from noon to 1 p.m.
The stopover was originally scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m.
The tour is scheduled to be in Pikeville at 2:30 p.m. today for the second stop.
Two years ago, Kentucky was on a path to putting 25,000 of its people behind bars when state lawmakers passed a sweeping reform of drug laws and sentencing and parole rules.
Jolene Cumpton was supposed to surprise her son last Saturday.
She was going to make a four-hour drive from Augusta, Ga., to Durham, N.C., to watch him pitch in a Triple-A baseball game between Indianapolis and Durham.
Turns out, the surprise was on her.
Elmer L. Johnson, 82, of Proctorville, died Monday in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
