ASHLAND —
Tonight’s 16th Region baseball championship game between Ashland and Boyd County has been moved up to 5 p.m. at the Bath County Sports Complex in Owingsville because of potential bad weather coming later tonight.
The Lions and Tomcats played their way to the championship game with semifinal wins on Wednesday night.
Boyd County blanked Lewis County, 5-0, while Ashland edged Russell, 4-3.
The 16th Region softball championship game, also a matchup between Ashland and Boyd County, play tonight at 5 in Morehead.
Ashland drilled Fleming County 15-1 and Boyd County clobbered Rowan County 10-2 in Wednesday’s semifinals.
