4 more charged in Greenup County double-murder from 2008

Four more have been arrested and charged in connection with a double-murder in Greenup County that happened five years ago.

Greenup County Sheriff’s deputies, along with the Kentucky State Police, on Thursday morning arrested Chrissie Bertram-Royster, 23, of Garrison; Sammy Bertram, 22, of Garrison; Willie Burns, 23, of Garrison; and Ashley Craft, 23, of Garrison.

Bertram-Royster, Bertram and Burns are being charged with capital murder, robbery, arson and tampering with evidence. Craft was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Mitchell Royster, 24, of Garrison was indicted by a grand jury in December 2010 on two counts of capital murder and one count of first-degree arson. He will testify against the four new suspects as part of a plea deal. Chrissie Bertram-Royster is Mitchell Royster's wife.

Jeffery Long, 45, and Pamela Wills, 21, died in the double-murder and arson in a trailer on Leatherwood Road on Feb. 23, 2008.
