LLOYD — Greenup County schools are in lockdown for precautionary reasons only, according to the Greenup County Sheriff's Office.
There is no active shooter at any school, according to an alert from the sheriff's office.
Sheriff Keith Cooper is asking that parents not report to any Greenup County school and assures that all students are fine. Lockdown is put in place for threats only.
Rail City Railroad Days will chug into Russell on June 7 and 8.
It takes only one game. Few are more firm believers in that fact than the small schools that find themselves in underdog roles year after year.
S. Keith Payne, 77, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Ashland, died Friday, May 17, 2013.
He was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Ashland, a son of the late Harvey L. and Jesse Ruth Pugh Payne.
